Objective

The Stress and Trauma Research and Education Institute (STREI) has as its primary objective:

• The collection, collation, processing, and dissemination of data from clinical practice in order to identify continuing education and training needs for mental health and health care providers in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of Adult onset Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.

Goals

• To conduct field research specific to Adult onset PTSD.
• To provide continuing education to health care providers of trauma victims.
• To establish a truly Canadian Data base on PTSD prevalence and treatment outcomes.
